What is Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy (BCST)?

BCST therapy has its roots in the craniosacral approach to osteopathy by William Sutherland in the late 1800’s. Since his times the developments have brought more light on biodynamic approach with treating the whole body and stress patterns that are held in some areas. Non-doing, deep-listening approach creates safety and helps resolve fight/flight/freeze responses in the body linked to pain, anxiety, depression, low immunity, digestive issues, fatigue, difficulties with sleep.

The practitioner’s role is to facilitate spaciousness and stillness, to create a safe environment that promotes emotional, physical, spiritual health and a sense of deep connectedness with the whole body. This is possible through developing specific palpatory skills, mindful presence and neutral listening oriented towards the craniosacral system and its tidal rhythms.

BCST as a modality supports self-regulation and neurosensory integration. Through optimal processing and integration of sensory information we can achieve dynamic flow state, sense of connectedness and better health.
